On Sunday 27 October, 2024 Meryl and Ian played for the Duke of Wellington’s Dancers’ Ball at Rownhams House, Southampton. The theme was travel and the life of writer William Gilpin. Dances were chosen reflecting places he had travelled to and his love of the picturesque.
Dances included: The Witch of the Lakes, The Travelling Curricle, 
The Gloucester Waltz, L’Arethusa quadrille, The New Rigg’d Ship, The Machine Without Horses, Our Way in Wales, The Midnight Ramble, Stowe Hall, The Steam Packet Waltz, Flowery Fields, Jockey to the Fair, Auretti’s Dutch Skipper and The Rowing Match.
