Meryl and Ian played for Mrs Bennet’s Ballroom late summer Tea Dance on Saturday 28 September at 2.30pm at St Mark’s Church, Surbiton.
Some 40 dancers enjoyed dancing and an interval with sandwiches and cake. Dances included:
The College Hornpipe, Merry Girls of Epsom, Miss Bennet’s Jig, Steam Packet waltz, Shrewsbury Lasses, Triolet to Queen Pulkawalka’s Waltz, Fairy Revels, Speed the Plough, Hunt the Squirrel, two parts of Hart’s 8th Set of Quadrilles and Duke of Kent’s Waltz. There were several new dancers at the Tea Dance who experienced the fun of Regency dancing.
