Ian and Meryl played for the Duke of Wellington’s Dancers at Rownhams House, Southampton on 26 October 2025.
The theme of this ball was The Muses. The ball celebrated accomplished, professional and intellectual women and is inspired by the ancient Greek goddesses of music, poetry and the arts, and the ‘Nine living muses of Great Britain’.
Dances included: The Arcadian Nuptials, The Blue Stocking waltz, Fair Fanny, Flower Garden, Frankenstein, Frisky Muse, Neptune’s Levee, Orange and Blue, Le Plaisir des Dames cotillion, The Poet’s Fate, The Seven Stars, The Sylph or Self, A Trip to Amiens.
