Ian and Meryl played for an evening soirée hosted by Mrs Bennet’s Ballroom on Saturday 27th November 2021 from 7.00-9.00pm. This was part of The Historical Society’s online event “An Assembly for Jane Austen“.
The evening’s soirée had a naval theme and featured music for dancing along with recitals and chat rooms. Dances included Auretti’s Dutch Skipper, The College Hornpipe, Jacky Tarr, Lord Nelson’s Waltz, Lord Nelson’s Hornpipe, Lady Nelson’s Waltz, The Sailor’s Wife, The Royal Navy, Tarrs of the Victory, White’s Naval Quadrilles and The Naval Flirtation Finale.
